Other Ways to Give to CareSouth

You may not have the time or resources to be a Foster Carer or Volunteer Carer in our Aunties & Uncles Program. But you may be able to support CareSouth’s Aunties & Uncles Program financially. We are a registered charity with an authority to fundraise.

We are limited by a lack of finance to meet the increasing number of referrals to our Aunties & Uncles Program. Research has shown that a preventative program like Aunties & Uncles can alleviate the stress that many families face and that linking children with appropriate role models can contribute to children developing into well-adjusted adults.

A Gift in Your Will

FREE simple Will offer:  RMB Lawyers will prepare your Will for free if you make a bequest to CareSouth’s Aunties & Uncles Program. Or you may wish to choose your own lawyer.

Should you make a Will?

A Will enables you to leave behind the things that symbolize years of friendship and love to those you care about. It is the only legal way of ensuring that your wishes are carried out. A Will is also the way you can make sure the benevolent work you have supported during your lifetime can continue to benefit future generations. Regardless of your age or the value of your estate, a Will ensures you can help those around you. Making a Will is easy, as is including a bequest.

Preparing your Will

First, you simply list all possessions you wish to be covered by your Will. Secondly, identify individuals and organisations you would like to donate to. Thirdly, decide how wish your estate to be divided. At this stage, it is important to obtain qualified legal advice to ensure your Will is worded in a way that is  legally binding.

Including CareSouth in your WIll

There are a number of ways to make a bequest to CareSouth’s Aunties & Uncles program:

  • A specific sum is the simplest form of bequest. To allow for inflation of the changing value of your estate, you should review your Will regularly.
  • A percentage of the value of your estate ensures that changes in its value or inflation do not affect beneficiaries
  • The residue simply means the remainder of your estate after providing for loved ones—family and friends. A specified gift could be in the form of shares, property, an insurance policy, works of art or anything of endearing value.

The following is a guide to the wording of a bequest to CareSouth. Simply omit the categories that are not applicable to your Will.

“I give and bequeath to CareSouth (the Aunties & Uncles program) the sum of $______ (a specified sum) or my _____ (specified items), or ______% of my estate, or the residue of my estate) free of all duties and taxes including, if any, Capital Gains Tax, to be used for the benefit or children and families supported by CareSouth, and I direct that the receipt from the Trust shall be sufficient discharge for the executor(s).”
