The wellbeing of those we support is at the heart of all the work we do at CareSouth. So we love nothing more than sharing the good news stories of our participants who are building independence and capacity with the help of our staff.

Our Nan Bishop House participant Carol* has been very busy lately engaging in activities that she loves, including cooking and swimming with support from staff at Nan Bishop house.

Disability and Inclusion manager Haylee Sarris said Carol has also recently purchased new bedroom furniture that she is very proud of.
“In her words, ‘She finally has a grown woman’s furniture, not a girl’s furniture,” said Haylee. “Thank you to Irene and fellow staff at Nan Bishop House for supporting Carol and making her so happy.”

“We also have a new resident, Tim, in our Tahnee St property,” said Haylee. “Tim celebrated his birthday recently with his new housemate James* and staff. Both men are enjoying their new home environment, and we look forward to watching them grow in their new home. Thank you to the staff who have facilitated such a smooth transition for Tim and James.

“Residents from Tartarian and Anderson Ave also went out for dinner recently, enjoying a lovely meal together. As always, thank you to each of you for the effort you make each day. Please remember to keep sending through the good news stories as we love to see what you are all up to.”
