Warm Hearts, Warm Feet to support kids in need
Wear your slippers to work on July 26th – National Aunties & Uncles Day – and help raise awareness of CareSouth’s amazing Aunties & Uncles volunteers who are changing the lives of children and families in need of a helping hand.
The Aunties & Uncles program connects children, young people and families with carefully matched volunteers who provide guidance and mentoring through simple acts of kindness and small moments of support.
CareSouth is celebrating National Aunties & Uncles Day with our Warm Hearts, Warm Feet campaign, a nod to fact that our Aunties & Uncles volunteers make kids feel safe, snug and supported – just like a pair of cosy slippers.
How to get involved
Sign up your workplace or school to raise awareness and funds for CareSouth’s Aunties & Uncles program by calling 1300 554 260 to register your business.
Then on July 26th wear a cosy pair of slippers to work or school and tag us on socials #AuntiesandUnclesDay. We look forward to seeing all the fun things you do on the day while wearing your slippers.

Aunties & Uncles Launches in Goulburn
Aunties & Uncles is the organisation’s longest running program, and also one of its most successful. We are excited to announce that we are expanding the service into our Southern region, with CareSouth officially launching the program on National Aunties & Uncles Day. We have services in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Batemans Bay and now Goulburn.

Your impact on kids who need a helping hand
CareSouth’s Aunties & Uncles program connects vulnerable children with carefully matched volunteers to help them experience new, everyday things. It’s all about helping them navigate challenges, build resilience and develop important social and emotional skills.
The program has been running for nearly 30 years and relies on volunteers to guide and support children and families who need a helping hand. It’s an early intervention program to reduce the chance of a child entering the foster care system; it doesn’t receive funding but makes an incredible difference in the lives of children to help them build a better future. And we’re only just scratching the surface.
Your support, whether participating in the Warm Hearts, Warm Feet campaign, or raising funds will help CareSouth continue to run the Aunties & Uncles program and expand its reach to help as many kids and families in our local communities as possible.
